FABRICA HOUSE is a 100-year-old stone building, originally used as an olive factory, carefully restored into a traditional rustic style two-storey house suitable for 2-5 persons. It is quietly located in the traditional village of Anopolis about 100 m from the village square. In the village one finds several cafenions, tavernas and a minimarket. Further shops can be found down in Kokkini Hani some 5 km away, where there are also some beaches. The gate opens into a small yard from where one enters the house. On the ground floor is a spacious and comfortable furnished living room with wooden ceiling, TV, fireplace, separate WC with washing machine. Next to it is a cosy terrace full of flowerpots and surrounded by a small garden,a BBQ and a stone oven. The open plan fully equipped kitchen with dining room is separated from the living room by a stone archway. From the living room a spiral staircase leads to the first floor into the open bedroom with 2 single beds and a large veranda facing the Dikti Mountains and the small Monastery of Agios Ioannis. Next to it is a separate bedroom with double bed, a bathroom en suite with bath/WC and a small balcony. A nice place to relax and take part in village life.

Means of access Follow directions for Kokkini Hani, at the centre of it turn right towards Anopoli village. At the center of the village,next to the church,there is Aramnos taverna. That's where the owner will welcome you, as the house is situated in a very narrow road, and it is not easy to find on your own.

Hints and Tips The location of the village is ideal to explore the island. At Aramnos taverna,try out local cuisine with different dishes every day,or just enjoy a cup of greek coffee, at the village square. For families with children a water amusement park with lots of different slides is situated 1 km away from the village. Crete Aquarium, one of the biggest building complexes in Mediterranean, is only 5 Klms away,for those who adore and want to explore 2500 idividuals of fish and invertebrates. For others who enjoy walking/hiking, there are vineyards/olive fields all around the village. The monastery of St.John is situated across the main veranda.
