The beautiful village of Valva lies on a small promontory in the hills of the province of Salerno, in the Sele Valley. This is a delightful medieval village of about 2,000 inhabitants, founded in roman times.It offers a wonderful view on the Sele Valley,and its historical centre is full of narrow streets alleys of medieval system, though recently renovated. Valva is dominated from the Villa of the Marquise d'Ayala and the magnificent park that surrounds it. Defined repeatedly, even by authoritative texts, one of the most beautiful estates in Italy, Villa d'Ayala is a little known gem. The large park of 17 hectares,seems immersed in a magical atmosphere, able to capture the mind of the visitor.
